We honestly couldn’t have chosen a more amazing wedding venue! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue itself was beautiful, with such a wonderful atmosphere and attention to detail that made our special day feel truly magical. A very special mention has to go to our incredible wedding coordinator, Sera. We genuinely cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for us throughout the whole journey. From the very beginning, Sera was so helpful, supportive, caring and patient, always going above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. She made us feel completely at ease and took so much of the stress away, always being there whenever we had a question, worry or needed some guidance. Her attention to detail and dedication were truly amazing, and we honestly don't know what we would have done without her. Having someone like Sera looking after us made such a huge difference and allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment of our special day. The whole team were incredible from start to finish — friendly, professional, attentive, and always there to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt so well looked after throughout the entire day. Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be and more, and so much of that was down to the amazing team and stunning venue. We had the most amazing experience at Green Grove Barns for our wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful and made the whole day feel so special, but what really stood out to us was how helpful and lovely everyone was in Green Grove Barns throughout the process, and how beautiful the views are from every angle! We were able to stay there for 4 nights to enjoy the wedding process. The venue is so flexible, which allows you to personalise your day so much. We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better wedding venue than Green Grove Barns. From the very beginning, the team went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly how we envisioned it. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the communication throughout the entire planning process was excellent. One of the things we loved most was the flexibility to choose all of our own external suppliers. From our wedding breakfast and evening caterers to our amazing desserts, we were able to create a day that was completely personal to us and reflected exactly what we wanted. Another huge bonus was having exclusive use of the entire venue from Thursday through to Monday. It made our wedding celebrations feel so much longer and gave us the opportunity to spend quality time with our family before and after the big day, without feeling rushed. It really made the whole experience even more special. A huge thank you also goes to Sera from Eventful Wales, our wedding planner, who spent countless hours (and days!) in the lead-up to the wedding making sure every last detail was in place. From the second we walked into Green Grove we instantly fell in love. We went to their first open day and booked our wedding straight away. There is nothing to say but amazing things about this venue and the people behind the scenes. Sera - the most wonderful and dedicated co-ordinator, who listened to all of our ideas and gave her own thoughts and opinions. Her suggestions made us feel so at ease and she was always on hand from before the wedding and during the day. When we both needed to take 5 minutes away, she ensured we would be alone and even brought us some muffins as she knew we hadn’t eaten anything yet. She went around and checked in with all 130 guests ensuing they were doing okay. I don’t think I had anyone come up to me and discuss a single detail about the day because Sera was there. We are ever so grateful for her! The Rees Family - the most caring and thoughtful family I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. The venue is beautiful in every aspect and they’ve truly thought so hard about making it a dream for any bride to be! Not only can you hire out the venue for your special day - big or small - they also have accommodation onsite for up to 21 guests and I don’t think we would’ve enjoyed ourselves as much if we didn’t have all our family 5 steps away during the whole weekend. This is rare to have and they’ve truly made it seamless. The accommodation is gorgeous. The staff at the bar were extremely friendly, never complained about the hundreds of baby Guinness they had to make and got stuck in making sure every guest was catered for. I truly wish I could do this whole day again. Every stress and worry about thinking ‘have I done enough’ ’will people enjoy it’ simply melted away when we arrived. I knew when we were looking for a venue I wanted something that I could make bespoke to us, and Green Grove smashed this out of the park. They were even prepared to have the wedding outside in the pouring rain if that’s what we wanted. There is no venue you will find that will give you everything you need other than Green Grove Barns. We recently got married at Green Grove Barns, (04/10/25) and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. From the very first visit — meeting Sera, Carwyn, Emily and Mervyn — we just knew it was the one, despite viewing plenty of other venues across South, Mid and West Wales. They made us feel completely at home, even welcoming us into the accommodation while the lovely owners were staying there themselves. We planned our wedding on just three months’ notice (totally doable!), and nothing was ever too much trouble. Every crazy request was met with a smile, and the team were so supportive and accommodating from start to finish. The accommodation was flawless — beautifully clean, comfortable, and loved by everyone who stayed. The fact that it’s dog friendly was such a bonus for us and our families, who can’t go anywhere without their four-legged friends! We made full use of the venue all weekend. The night before the wedding, we had the bar and barn open and brought in All Fired Up Pizza (Llandovery) — hands down the best pizza and the loveliest people! Nothing was too much for Sera and the team, who helped make it all so easy. On the wedding day itself, the bar staff were amazing — so organised, no queues, great cocktails, a brilliant selection of drinks (including my husband’s beloved Guinness), and even a local bottled lager which was such a lovely touch. Prices were really fair too! Our best man threw some spontaneous challenges at our “table captains” which led to a full-blown shot hunt for the bride, and the bar team were absolute legends for playing along! We also had kids’ entertainment from HP Bouncy Castles (Llandovery) set up in the outdoor barn, which went down a treat with the little ones. And we have to give a special shoutout to Sera — what an absolute legend! We genuinely couldn’t have done it without her. She was on it from start to finish, knew exactly what needed doing before we even thought of it, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She’s an absolute credit to Green Groves and a huge part of why our day ran so seamlessly. Storm Amy was a part of our day and I hardly noticed!! 💡 Tip: Order your breakfast pastries from La Patisserie in Llandovery — they were divine and the perfect start to the morning! If you’re considering Green Grove Barns — do it! And if you get a chance, go to one of their open days. You’ll see exactly why we fell in love with it straight away. Had an amazing 4 night stay with 20 of our nearest and dearest from Thursday to Monday with a party on the Friday and wedding on the Saturday. Beautiful location with views of the towy valley and Carmarthen Fans. Staff were great and really helpful and we even got to have our pictures with the farm cows! I was a bridesmaid at my friends wedding at Green Grove. We stayed in the on site accommodation from Thursday to Monday. This was brilliant because we could really extend the celebrations with the couple and their friends. We had plenty of access to the venue to dress it and prepare flowers for the big day. Sera was also on hand to answer any questions and brought us cups of tea while we worked away. We had a bbq in the farmhouse on the Friday night before the wedding which was a good chance for everyone to meet up and speak to the bride and groom before the wedding. On the wedding morning it was so relaxing. Waking up on site in the accommodation meant we didn’t have to stress about getting there on time for make up and hair. We had breakfast and bucks fizz with the bride and listened to music while we got ready. There was no pressure to travel and get to a venue by a certain time as could just walk across the court yard to get there! Again Sera was brilliant and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. She thought of things we hadn’t! She took our speeches to our seats so we didn’t have to worry about carrying them or photos! She took some great photos for us too. It all went so smoothly and because we didn’t have to travel anywhere we really got to make the most of the day. The venue was beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The barn is such a good size. There was ample room for us all and we didn’t have to move any chairs or tables for dancing. There was room for the kids play area and comfy seating away from the dance floor too. Another perk of being able to stay at the venue was not having to organise any taxis! We made the most of the occasion and stayed with the bride and groom the next day and the Monday. Green Grove Barns was the first venue we visited, and we instantly fell in love with the barn, the on-site accommodation and the stunning views. It offered the relaxed atmosphere we were looking for. We appreciated the flexibility to bring in our own suppliers and staying on-site from Thursday to Monday made setup easy. Sera, the coordinator, was a great help on the day as she worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. That said, we both felt that the planning process was a lot more stressful than we had anticipated. Communication was often very slow, and we had to chase frequently for what we consider to be basic information. There were also a few frustrating moments where things we’d outlined in emails were later missed or questioned (we were asked to pay for drinks that had already been paid for because a line was missed in an email, and our table setup was questioned multiple times just a few weeks before the wedding). One of our other suppliers also mentioned that they struggled to get a reply when trying to confirm logistics with the venue. While we recognise that the venue advertises itself as “dog friendly”, we weren’t told that a dog would be on-site during the wedding weekend. We love dogs, but we think it’s important for couples to be informed and consulted beforehand, especially as he was roaming freely on the Friday and Saturday morning and did accidentally trip one of our suppliers. For guests or vendors with allergies or phobias, this could have been a real issue. The venue offers great flexibility, but clearer guidance, quicker responses and basic planning documents would go a long way. There’s a real gap in the market for venues like this and Green Grove Barns fills that gap wonderfully. The Rees family who run it are lovely and were amazing in all of the interactions we had with them, and in the end we had a beautiful day. We still feel comfortable recommending Green Grove Barns to other couples, as long as they’re ready to be hands-on with planning and to stay on top of the details themselves.
