A quirky venue quite unlike any other — Frieda And The Moon specialises in small weddings and elopements for romantic individualists - with a maximum of 20 people . A handfasting ceremony in a candlelit circle of hornbeams down in the woods — no problem . Figgy the Owl or Ivan the Alpaca to be your ringbearer — OK . Gorgeous homemade Vintage High Tea served 'Savoy Style' on fancy cake stands with antique linens — that's fine . Champagne Breakfast hamper delivered to your door on the big day — of course . Stay in one of our out-of-this-world, totally unique glampsters — The Tabernacle or The Observatory (a cosy luxury for two in a secluded paddock) — step this way ... Each of our weddings is fully bespoke, designed to realise your every dream down to the tiniest detail. From day one, we knew that Frieda and the Moon was a special place that we would want to tie the knot, but how little did we know that Perla and Jo were such an amazing force to be reckoned with? With the current hot summer, weather wasn’t something we thought would be an issue on our day, but the sun turned to cloud and worry set in. This didn’t worry the team at Freida and the Moon… They held our hands, supported us, and confirmed that it wasn’t an issue. Every single step was catered for with military like precision for the best, most inclusive and loving ceremony we could have asked for. With it being our wedding day, there were a few things we forgot - not an issue - team Frieda had that covered too. From pre-heated hot tubs ready for our arrival, to Cornish treats chilled in the fridge, decent coffee and immaculate accommodation, when we arrived at Frieda, our worries were dismissed with two of the most amazing people we could imagine planning our perfect day. We have already started planning our vow renewal at Frieda and the Moon, it’s just the most amazing place for anyone who wants their day to be prof

There honestly aren’t enough words to describe how special Frieda and the Moon made our wedding. From the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly left three days later, everything was absolute perfection. Perla and Jo are two of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet. They are warm, kind, funny, thoughtful and incredibly attentive, and by the time our wedding arrived, it genuinely felt as though we had friends there with us rather than simply our hosts. They took all of the stress out of planning our wedding and somehow thought of absolutely everything. The attention to detail was incredible, and we were able to simply relax, enjoy ourselves and take in every moment. The venue itself is breathtaking. The ceremony space and bridal changing room are beautiful, the accommodation is gorgeous and the whole setting feels wonderfully private, peaceful and romantic. Waking up on the morning of our wedding to a champagne breakfast before relaxing in the hot tub was something we will never forget. And then there was the handfasting ceremony in the evening… an absolute must. We chose to have this part of the day just for the two of us, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The atmosphere was almost impossible to put into words - intimate, romantic and completely magical. Perla and Jo had even taken our family down beforehand so they could experience the setting too, which was such a thoughtful touch. Nothing was ever too much trouble and everyone was made to feel welcome and included. In fact, our families all said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, which meant the absolute world to us. Everyone commented on how magical, relaxed and unique the whole experience was, and we couldn’t agree more. It didn’t feel like a conventional wedding day, it felt incredibly personal and completely us. The food was absolutely beautiful, the accommodation was perfect and the location is simply stunning. We stayed for three days and spent our time stargazing, reading, relaxing in the hot tub and just enjoying being together. We left feeling more relaxed and refreshed than we had in months - although neither of us wanted to leave! Frieda and the Moon isn’t just somewhere you go to get married. It becomes part of the memory itself. Perla and Jo created something for us that we will treasure for the rest of our lives, and we genuinely cannot thank them enough for making our wedding so magical. We loved it so much that we’re already planning to return for our anniversary. If you are considering getting married here, do it. We honestly couldn’t recommend Frieda and the Moon, or the wonderful Perla and J

Perla and Jo are very welcoming, the venue is beautiful with amazing views. The perfect place to get married. Perla was very informative putting us in touch with local suppliers hair, make up, cake, magician and Bab's for the flowers which was a massive help. Jo took our children through the fields to see the sheep and alpa

I was so excited to book my wedding at Frieda and the moon after looking at their beautiful venue for many years beforehand. Organisation isn’t my strong point and Perla helped me with all of my arrangements and made a clear time frame for the day that would work for me and my guests. She was helpful, friendly and informative throughout all of my questions. When we arrived at our accomodation it was even more beautiful in person and I’ve actually since ordered the quilt from the tabernacle in an attempt to keep a little piece of this beautiful place at home. The weather was really sunny so Jo put the sprinklers on for my little girl to run through and enjoy. After the ceremony champagne was served from the stargazy pie cafe. There were these really cute charms attached to the champagne flutes. All the little details were really special. We had two food options on the day… the vintage high tea and the Indian banquet later in the evening. The afternoon tea not only looked beautiful in our wedding photos but the sandwiches were so tasty and soft. My teenage son particularly liked the scones. The Indian banquet had a wide variety of curries including vegetarian options and everyone commented on how much food there was. All of it delicious. We had our legal ceremony in the day in the studio and then a private handfasting at twilight in the hornbeam circle. Perla was kind enough to snap a few photos which was actually really thoughtful because we had to wait on the images from the photographer as expected. My sons really enjoyed being able to play lawn games and listen to music in the hot tub and I witnessed the starriest night sky ive ever seen in the evening. One of my favourite touches at the venue was waking up to their delicious breakfast hamper as husband and wife. Drinking fresh orange juice and eating a warm bagel whilst admiring the view. There was also a really lovely little wooden swing in the alpaca field and the children and me really enjoyed visiting it and seeing the animals. We made such wonderful memories and were sad to leave. Hopefully after a year of happy marriage we can return for our anniversary! Thank you to Perla and Jo for making it so magical! Also a special mention to Paul and babs for the beautiful flowers boquets and b

Perla and Jo gave us a truly amazing day that we will forever cherish. From first contact to the big day everything was explained and plenty of options were made available, giving us an experince tailored to our specific personalities and dream day. On arrival we were made to feel at home and comfortable. Both Perla and Jo went above and beyond in all aspects to ensure the day was magical and the venue is one of a kind. All our family recognised how accommodating Perla and Jo were and we could not

We had the most amazing wedding and a fantastic stay at Frieda and The Moon. Perla and Jo have thought of everything! They were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The whole experience from the time we viewed the venue to the day we left was so easy. We don't live locally and so organising flowers, photographer etc would have been difficult, but we didn't need to worry! We communicated with Perla via email and she arranged everything for us, even down to booking our meal out the night before to arranging Figgy the owl to be ring bearer. The Observatory and The Tabernacle were just perfect for a few days stay and even the camping field was great. Everyone loved the little converted horseboxes (One is a toilet and shower for the campers and 1 is a cocktail bar) The wedding studio is lovely, perfect for the ceremony but also doubles as a fabulous place for a wedding 'breakfast'. (We had the delicious grazing platters) Several of our guests had dietary requirements but were still well catered for. We also took the option to have breakfast for all 20 of us and a BBQ in the evening, both equally as tasty as the platters. My only

Frieda and the Moon was the very first venue we viewed, and although we looked at several others afterwards, nothing else even came close! There was something so magical about the place that we simply couldn't stop thinking about it, and we knew it was where we wanted to get married. From the moment we booked, Perla and Jo were incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. Throughout the entire process, nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make sure both we and our guests had the most wonderful experience. The day before the wedding, they took the time to walk us through the ceremony and talk us through where everyone would be and how things would flow. It was such a simple thing, but it really helped calm our nerves and made us feel so much more confident and relaxed ahead of the big day. They also took care of the ceremony music for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and one less thing for us to worry about. It allowed our guests to simply enjoy the moment rather than having to help behind the scenes. Our guests absolutely raved about the Vintage High Tea. The food was fantastic, there was so much of it, and everyone left thoroughly stuffed! We also loved the flexibility the venue offered. Being able to bring our own pizza ovens and serve DIY pizzas in the evening made the day feel even more personal and perfectly suited to us as a couple. What really makes Frieda and the Moon special, though, is the atmosphere. Spending a few days there felt less like hiring a wedding venue and more like being welcomed into a beautiful home. Perla and Jo, along with their lovely children and dogs, made us and our guests feel completely at ease from start to finish. We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better venue or better hosts. Frieda and the Moon will always hold a very special place in our hearts, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unique, relaxed and magical wedding experience. Leaving at the end of the weekend was surpr

My wife and I knew that we wanted to get married, we just weren't sure we wanted to do it the traditional way. We found the thought of a big church and lots of guests to be a bit anxiety inducing....so we decided to elope! Frieda and the Moon turned out to be the perfect solution. Joe and Perla made everything feel effortless and welcoming. We just showed up and they did the rest. They went above and beyond to make the whole stay perfect and completely stress free. We stayed in the Observatory, which was warm, cosy, and very comfortable. Outside, we enjoyed using the chimenea (with plenty of seasoned wood) and the hot tub was perfect, and really held its heat. The ceremony itself in the Hornbeam Circle was genuinely magical. It's such a unique, beautiful and peaceful setting that made the day feel really special. Our photoshoot with Paul was fantastic as well. He really knows what hes doing and captured some amazing pictures, especially the ones with the alpacas and sheep, which we absolutely love. Finally, the food. We were concerned about finding a venue that would be able to cater for us, as we're awkward vegans! Joe and Perla did a great job. From breakfast bagels with Buck's Fizz in the morning, to delicious afternoon tea (with a great selection of sanwiches, cakes, and dairy free cream and scones) finishing with the best Indian tiffin we've ever had in the evening. We can wholeheartedly recommend everything about Frieda and the Moon. Joe and Perla are such gre

From the very first enquiry Perla was kind, intuitive, and able to recommend and plan our perfect day. Everything was prompt, professional, and sorted in just three emails. When we arrived we were made very welcome and when we first saw the setting we were blown away. The photos do not in any way do it justice. There were a couple of things we had overlooked/not organised when we arrived and Jo and Perla were quick to help, give perfect advice, and ensure everything ran smoothly. It was a tiny wedding of five people but everything was adapted and personalised to suit every member of our party. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked tirelessly our whole stay. We also had a ceremony at the Hornbeam Circle which we would absolutely say was magical and was a highlight of our day.

Where do we even begin…we cannot thank Perla & Jo enough! Frieda and the Moon really is a special place! Such a unique wedding venue, intimate and set in the most beautiful surroundings. If you want a small, intimate wedding, with bit of added quirkiness, then this is the place, from the on site accommodation, which we would highly recommend, to The Studio, nothing was ever too much trouble for Perla & Jo. The Tabernacle and Observatory have everything you need for a few nights…so cosy and comfortable with the added bonus of the hot tubs! Our little Pug certainly enjoyed herself! The bell tent that was set up for extended family was perfect too, along with great facilities that the kids loved. The wedding day was perfect…The Studio is beautiful, food delicious and Perla & Jo just let you get on to enjoy your day, but are always on hand if you need anything. This just helps you and your guests feel more relaxed. The fire pit is a nice added addition to relax after the sun goes down, with some toasted marshmallows. We honestly have the best memories to last a lifetime, and the family are still talking about it now! It was really hard to leave, as the place is truly wonderful, I

Wow, what a perfect weekend we had! From first contact, Perla was amazing. She assisted us in everything we needed from creating the perfect venue/setting to organizing flowers, cakes etc. No change or request was an trouble. At the venue itself, everything was perfect. Being tucked away in the countryside it was quiet and peaceful and our accommodation was amazing and querky. The wedding day itself turned out absolutely perfect. Even though it rained, changes were made last minute to move us indoors and even that was no issue for Perla and her husband and yet again everything set up perfectly. The registrar also made us feel very relaxed and everything was explained step by step beforehand. After the main ceremony, the food and wedding cake we had was perfect and the right amount for the group of people attending. We also did the handfasting ceremony in the evening and yet again it all went absolutely perfect and the celebrant also made us feel very welcome and relaxed. So in summary, we cannot recommend Freida

Perla and Jo created the most magical day for us. We honestly didn't have to worry about anything. We stayed in one of the venues tiny houses for 3 nights which we highly recommend. Got there on the Monday evening, jumped into the hot tub to relax. Later on we checked out the Studio with P&J, double checked our wedding songs and ran through where to walk, stand etc. Very reassuring. The next day we got ready together (chose to, there was an option for seperate) and the elopement began! The whole venue is whimsical and cute. A lot of little details which felt very homely. Everyone was cheerful and attentive. The photographer Paul captured some spectacular shots of everything. The florist Babs created the most amasing bouquet to our theme. We added on a champagne breakfast hamper the next morning to our experience which was the best way to start the first morning married! Overall a very relaxed but special experience, we definitely recommend.
