My Husband and I renewed our wedding Vows for our 10th Wedding Anniversary on the 3rd August 2024 and we held our reception /after party here at Colwick Hall in the Lake Pavillion. The Venue is absolutely beautiful. The Staff were very helpful and went above and beyond in helping us make our day a memorable one. Geetha helped us sort everything for us in preparation for the day. She was absolutely wonderful.!! The food was incredible and we had the most perfect day ever!! We stayed in the Lord Byron suite which was the biggest and most beautiful room with gorgeous decor and a fantastic bathroom too. The grounds are amazing and so pretty. The service here at Colwick hall was 100% and everything and everyone met our expectations to make our day a day we would never forget. Colwick hall is the best venue I have ever held an event with and I would highly recommend this venue to others and I think Colwick hall is also the best venue in the whole of Nottinghamshire to hold your event. We had our wedding in the Byron Brasserie on 10th August. From the moment we made enquiries Geetha was very helpful and hands-on, helping in drafting our program and with suggestions & recommendations for the seating plan as we wanted to have a small number of guests which kept on increasing as the months get closer. Communication was flawless & very accommodating with changes we made in the months coming to our wedding day. Duty Manager Sam called me (bride) a day before the wedding to touch base, making sure all the preparations are in place. On the day of the wedding with my nerves going overdrive (was in bridedzilla mode for not being able to visit the venue before guests arrival to check on the deco myself but just trusting the vendor who was hired to decorate) I called her to check if things are done properly & she assured me and told me lovingly "...what are you doing calling this time, go get married!" She welcomed us at the hotel and handed over to the night Duty Manager Hari who was very exceptional with his waiting staff!!!! We can't thank them enough as they were so attentive not just to us but to all our guests, checking with us during the whole time to make sure the program was going as planned. The waiting staff were readily available whenever needed but also discreet at the same time (not right in your face). The bar staff deserve a special mention, they served our guests until the last call at 22:55...yes we finished at midnight and we never felt being rushed when it was getting close to the end as guests were still rocking it at the dance floor until the DJ had to announce the last song. We had our wedding reception at Colwick Hall Hotel last weekend and cannot praise the place enough. We booked the venue two years ago and the wedding planner at the time (Megan) was superb. Her efficiency, attention to detail and knowledge meant everything was planned meticulously. The wedding brochure was clear and concise so we knew exactly what we were paying for. All the staff were fabulous, and a special thank you has to go to Jane and Sam who were always on hand to help, wherever possible, with smiles on their faces. Our reception was in the Grand Ballroom which gave us extensive use of the grounds; the perfect backdrop for photographs. The food was sublime, with great portion sizes and all dietary requirements were met (and not with the usual run of the mill options either)! The menu for under 10s was also well received. There were optional drinks packages and we decided on a trough of beers to go on every table. They went down a treat. The evening buffet was brilliant - nobody went home hungry! I really can’t express how perfect our wedding at Colwick was! The team worked so hard, we’re so flexible and really went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly! Everything went perfectly, and they even managed to accommodate a number of last minute dietary requirements which we had not been told about prior to the day. I had a number of items to be set out, and instructions for the team to follow to get everything ready for the day, and it was all done to a T. The ballroom is beautiful, we stayed in the Byron suite which was HUGE and gorgeous and perfect for wedding morning preparations with plenty of room. The food was the best food I have personally ever had at a wedding, usually when catering for so many, the food can be rushed and a bit dry especially as we had chicken, but not here, all cooked and served to perfection. Booked the wedding Marquee around the back of the hotel as well as booking 2 different rooms within the hotel and everything was amazing! Geetha the wedding planner was awesome, she was so helpful and professional, she made sure we had everything set to make our wedding special, never had an issue with the organising and planning the day with her, brilliant communication with her and the staff. On the day the staff was very welcoming, really polite and kind to not just me and my wife but to all the guests also.
