We had the most romantic and beautiful wedding one could ever dream of! Ashridge House is just palatial, and our guests have all described it as “the wedding they’ve ever been to and will ever be to” “it’s like a royal wedding!” Melissa was the most thoughtful wedding coordinator ever. As a couple we have been to around 20 weddings over 3 years, both in the UK and abroad, and nothing could possible compare to what we experienced. I would say that we are biased, but when multiple guests said that this was the best wedding and most beautiful ceremony they had ever been to, it’s hard to argue any differently. From the outset, the sales team were amazing and very knowledgeable about everything wedding and Ashridge. We had the privilege of having an angel in wedding coordinator form, Libby, help us every step of the way. From answering questions and requests we had (and there were many!), to on the day reassurance , we could not have asked for any more. Libby made our dream wedding a reality. She was always there with a warm smile, a hug and was simply a ray of sunshine. From seamless coordination of suppliers, to organising 90+ guests (who had one too many pimms) with such effortless grace - we thank you! We recommend visiting the Ashridge House wedding showcase as soon as you’re engaged, as you’ll very quickly get excited by wedding fever as you meet all of their incredible recommended suppliers, Appleblossom Flowers, Rachel Clare Cake Design and Chloe Grace Bridal Makeup, who are simply a joy to work with as they bring your wedding vision to life. Ashridge house is simply incomparable to any other wedding venue and

We honestly couldn’t recommend Ashridge House enough. From the moment we booked, right through to the wedding day itself, everything was absolutely incredible and we genuinely could not find one fault with the whole experience. A special shoutout to the wedding coordinator you are assigned to around 6 months before your wedding. Ours was Amy, and she was incredible. She was so responsive, helpful and knowledgeable, and gave us the best advice throughout the final months of planning. She made everything feel so easy and took so much of the stress out of the process. Whenever we had a question or weren’t sure about something, Amy was always there to help and made us feel completely reassured. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and one of the things we loved most was being able to utilise all of the different spaces throughout the day. It meant the day flowed so naturally and every part of the venue felt special, from start to finish. The food was phenomenal and all of our guests commented on how amazing it was. The attention to detail throughout the entire day was incredible, and the staff were absolutely brilliant. They were constantly checking on us and our guests, making sure everyone was looked after and that the drinks were always flowing without us ever having to think about it. It made such a difference knowing everything was being taken care of behind the scenes. The whole team were amazing and everything was so well organised. Our guests have said they had the best time and so many of them commented on how amazing the venue, food, service and overall day was. Most importantly, we had the greatest day of our lives. Ashridge House gave us everything we could have wanted for our wedding and more, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The attention to detail,

What an amazing, amazing day. It was truly the best day of our lives, and we honestly cannot thank Ashridge House enough for making it so incredibly special. From the moment I first saw Ashridge House, I knew it was our wedding venue. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, and our guests genuinely couldn’t believe their eyes when they arrived. Every room has its own uniqueness and its own “wow” factor, and the gardens are simply beautiful. One of the things we loved most was how seamlessly the day flowed. Moving from one beautiful room to another throughout the day made everything feel so natural and exciting, and it meant there was always something new for our guests to discover. The whole setting is just incredible. The staff were absolutely amazing. They were SO attentive and took care of every little detail, including things we hadn’t even thought about. Nothing ever felt like a problem, and we always felt completely looked after. The food was also absolutely beautiful, which isn’t something you can always say about wedding food! 😂 There was an abundance of food and drinks, and our guests had nothing but amazing things to say. The team in the lead-up to the wedding were also fantastic. They were always on hand to answer our questions and help with anything we needed, which made the whole planning process feel so much easier. A very special thank you to our coordinator, Libby, took over from Sophie quite last-minute due to her leaving the role. She handled the transition with such professionalism, was incredibly organised and completely took care of everything for us. We always felt like we were in safe hands, and we are so grateful for everything she did. Honestly, if you are considering Ashridge House as your wedding venue, do not hesitate. It will always hold such a special place in our hearts, and we are so incredibly glad we got married here. We truly couldn’t imagine our wedding anywhere else. 🤍 And we have to give a huge shoutout to the incredible suppliers who helped make our day what it was: Bearded Man Cocktail: basically part of the furniture at Ashridge House! 😂 Their cocktails were outstanding. Our guests kept going back… and back… and back! They were absolutely delicious, and the team were such a pleasure to work with. If you’re getting married at Ashridge, you need them! LDN Entertainment: WOW. Our band absolutely brought the energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our guests could not believe how good they were — singing, dancing and giving it everything all night. If you want a great party, book LDN Entertainment. Unreal! Brittany Painter & Laura Martha our amazing photographers. Along with Hope from Social Soirée, our content creator, they were all such a calming presence on the day. They gave us exactly the right amount of guidance without ever feeling overbearing or taking us away from the wedding. They just completely slotted into the day and somehow managed to capture everything while allowing us to simply enjoy it. We are so grateful. Kara Strings: an unbelievably talented string quartet. If you’re considering having a string quartet, DO IT! The Ashridge House setting is absolutely made for it, and having them play during our ceremony made it feel even more magical. 🤍 To everyone at Ashridge House and all of our incredible suppliers, thank you, thank you, thank you. You helped create the most perfect day and memories that we will treasure for the rest of

Got married at Ashridge house, on the 30th of may 2026. I will never be able to find enough good words to say about this stunning wedding venue. It will always be the most beautiful building i have ever had the pleasure of entering. Being able to get married here was truly the best day of my life. We were looked after so well by the Ashridge house team, specifically Beth, out wedding co-ordinator. She made us feel so comfortable through-out our wedding day, and every day leading up to it. Me and my wife will definitely be back at some point just to walk around and enjoy being back at such a stunning venue. Only small nuance we had is our stay was during a very hot weekend in the UK. Though the large venue itself stays cool, the guest accommodation and bedrooms get very hot. Especially if you're given a room on the second floor. It would be nice if there was AC added to the bedrooms, as it would have made it way more pleasant for everyone staying with us. Hopefully this is implemented for future guests, as staying at the venue isn't cheap, so you'd expect clim

What a day. We had big ideas and no clue about how to turn our dream venue into our dream wedding. We were so lucky (and forever grateful) to Sophie, who went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. Every single member of the team was a pleasure to work with and we had so many compliments about the staff at Ashridge from our guests throughout the day. Big shout out to Bobby and Gary who couldn’t do enough behind the scenes and make the whole journey that lot smoother and give us the time to enjoy the moment throughout. The service for the wedding breakfast was impeccable and the food itself stunning. We had a lot of requests from guests with allergies but the meals were adapted and delivered with excellence. Thank you to everyone who was involved on the day we can’t thank you enough. We shared our fir

We got married on 25 April 2026, and we had a truly wonderful time. Sophie, our wedding event manager, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process and made everything feel smooth and manageable! We were able to visit the venue multiple times in advance, which really helped us plan and feel confident about the day. We opted to dry hire the venue and chose a caterer and photographer/ videographer who were not on the preferred supplier list, and thankfully everything came together seamlessly, they all worked really well as a team. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venu

We got married at Ashridge House on 14 February 2026. At every stage of the process, from our initial tour of the venue, to the planning process, to the day itself, everyone at Ashridge (in particular our coordinator Melissa) went above and beyond. During the year and a half lead up to our wedding, Melissa answered any query extremely responsively and nothing was ever too much of an ask. She ensured that we kept on track with regular meetings in the six month lead up and paid such amazing attention to detail. As to the wedding day itself, from the moment we arrived on the afternoon prior everyone at Ashridge was so warm, accommodating and honestly could not do enough for us (a comment we also received from so many of our guests). As a perfectionist who had literal nightmares for over a year prior to the day worrying about all the things that could go wrong, I wish I had not worried - the team ensured that everything ran absolutely perfectly. You only need to look at pictures of Ashridge House to see how beautiful it is but what really makes it is the professionalism, exceptionally high standards of service and warm nature of the team

We got married at the venue in December. While there were many positives, there were also a number of significant issues that caused frustration throughout the planning process. When we viewed the venue, it was stunning. Some areas were unavailable due to works, and we were unable to view the accommodation at that time. We later attended a wedding open day, which allowed us to see the rooms. One of the main reasons we chose this venue was because fireworks were permitted. This was discussed repeatedly and confirmed in writing within our contract. We had agreed to fireworks at 8pm with a hot chocolate station, and this was checked multiple times. However, when we contacted the fireworks supplier, they advised that fireworks were not permitted at the venue during November and December. The venue later confirmed this was due to the Christmas illuminations. After considerable back and forth, the venue agreed to honour the original agreement. However, no time restrictions were disclosed at this point. We were later informed by the supplier that fireworks could not take place until after 10pm. Despite having written confirmation for an 8pm display, we were forced to accept the later time. Had this information been disclosed at the time of booking, we would have chosen a different venue, as the fireworks were intended for children. We were also not informed of further restrictions, including limits on height and noise levels. These were only disclosed late in the process. Fireworks were extremely important to us, and ultimately they were a disappointment. We were told we would have exclusive use of the venue; however, this was not accurate. Another event was taking place on the grounds, and those guests continued socialising late into the night, disturbing our guests. Additionally, the grounds were open to the public for the Christmas illuminations, something we were not informed of until after booking. Guests staying at the venue access the bar in the venue and the reception area as well. Food The food was excellent. While the original wedding menu was not our preference, the venue was accommodating and offered a Christmas dinner, which was delicious. The tasting experience was very good, and the food on the day received numerous compliments from our guests. We also had a guest with a severe nut allergy. The chef and team went above and beyond to ensure there was no risk of cross-contamination, including providing an alternative menu for the table. We are extremely grateful for this level of care. Accommodation Accommodation caused the most stress. The booking link was not sent when promised, despite guests travelling internationally who required accommodation details for visas. We had to chase this repeatedly. Once received, the system did not function correctly for international guests and was difficult to use overall. Despite being told our guests had priority booking until one month before the wedding, rooms were being allocated to another event. Guests contacted us in a panic when rooms appeared unavailable. Only after firm discussions were additional rooms released. There were also errors on arrival. A room we had booked for the brides brother was not available due to a check-in mistake. We were asked to book and pay for another room, which was unacceptable. Booking rooms with children was unnecessarily complicated. We were also told staying the night before the wedding would not be an issue however, we could only book the cheapest room unless we waited until the week of the wedding, with no guarantee of securing the room we were staying in on the wedding night. Check-in time was 3pm, directly during the wedding. Many guests left our drinks reception to check in. This process does not work and requires review. The rooms themselves are recently decorated and attractive. However, cleanliness was inconsistent. Our honeymoon suite felt dusty, with spiders in the bed and webs in the bathroom. Several guests reported freezing rooms. Our own room was so cold that our breath was visible. While maintenance attended promptly, only part of the room heated, which was particularly concerning as we had our baby with us. Staff The staff on the wedding day were exceptional. The facilities manager, buggy drivers, and grounds staff were all outstanding. Their professionalism and warmth ensured the day itself ran seamlessly. Organisation and Communication Communication between departments was poor. We were given conflicting information regarding access to the Christmas illuminations, resulting in guests unnecessarily purchasing tickets. Refunds were not proactively offered, and the process was unclear and cumbersome. The bar service was also disappointing. Although unused funds were refunded, guests were informed of the remaining balance and encouraged to order doubles and premium drinks. This was unprofessional and not what was agreed in advance. Throughout the planning process, we had to chase repeatedly, including for paid extras we wanted that never materialised. We did not feel like a priority, despite the significant cost. Small details, such as a promised gift from the tasting experience, were never followed up. In summary, while the wedding day itself was faultless due to excellent on-the-day staff, the pl

We had the most beautiful wedding at Ashridge House on 21/11/25. From start to finish all the staff were extremely friendly and professional. The venue and grounds are stunning, and the honeymoon suite is perfect. Our wedding coordinator Melissa Grant was very organised and helpful throughout the planning and on the day. The meal options for meat eaters were great with our guests commenting how good the food was, however, the feedback was not as positive for the vegetarian options. This is an area Ashridge could improve to give more variety to those who don’t/can’t eat meat. Having the gym and pool to use on the morning of the wedding was great as a nice w

Every single person we worked with was so professional and really knew what they were talking about (we found this a rarity across other venues we toured). We were handed over to Jamie Rennie 6 months before the big day and hit it off instantly although we’ve no doubt he makes all couples feel as at ease as we did. Nothing was too much trouble, he brought energy (and an immense amount of patience at times) when we were flagging and just overall made the whole process totally seamless, he really had our backs and worked so hard both in the lead up and on the day to give us the day of our dreams. Both my husband and I felt Jamie was an integral part of our wedding, we absolutely loved working with him. A special thank you also to Bobby who was a total superstar on the night too. Ashridge will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
