WHY FILM YOUR WEDDING DAY? So much happens on the wedding day. So many tiny interactions between loved ones, friends, family relations. All the myriad emotional connections that we experience captured on film. A film is an extension of our collective memory that we can tap into on a quiet evening with a glass of wine and our loved one sitting by our side. A film is a gift for relatives, those far away, a dearly beloved grandparent too frail to attend, a friend or two away on business so they too can join in and share the moments, the celebration of your love and commitment to each other all captured in stunning 4k cinematic magnificence. Your day will be filmed in it's entirety. No corners cut. Everything is filmed in 4k which means very detailed high resolution video footage. So detailed in fact that you can create super photos from each individual frame. This means that you can upgrade from Package 1 or Package 2 or 3. Multiple cameras are used to film both the ceremony and speeches. This ensures multiple angles and is also a safety against any technical malfunctions. So often couples tell me that seeing the extended video is like being at the wedding and also gives them the chance to see the wedding as friends and family did. My generous offering includes the entirely of the ceremony and speeches so if the service and speeches are 4 hours long then your extended video will be that long. Usually the extended video is in the region of 45- 80 minutes. WHY CHOOSE ME? As a film maker I firmly believe in documenting things as they unfold in an authentic reportage style. It means finding the beauty in the moment, deciding in the moment what will look best with which lens or camera. It's an improvisation with light and the unfolding drama of the wedding day. I'm not really an interventionist. Your photographer can pose you. I will remain quietly in the background observing and capturing, looking for those moments that will help tell your story and be a reflection of the unique and beautiful people you are. You can just be yourselves and enjoy the wedding day. My extensive experience in the arts - particularly music, film and photography gives me the ability to see things and to create from a space of experience and knowledge. It means you are in good hands. I love what I do and I enjoy filming. I even film in my spare time. I never get bored of it. It is often said that music is the space between the notes. With weddings it is the unscripted moments that appear in the captured glance of a loved one, the tipsy dance moves of a funny uncle, the letting go of the father and his daughter, the nervous groom as he awaits his bride, the sleepy child at the end of an evening......and many more. I also offer HYBRID Videography and Photography which means I can take both video and photos of the entire day. I only offer this service if the Wedding takes place at one venue.
