From the very beginning, Laurel completely understood that we didn't want a conventional wedding. We wanted a whole weekend, with a traditional wedding ceremony followed by a reception that wasn't simply "festival themed" — we wanted an actual festival. It was a big, unconventional vision with a lot of moving parts and at no point did Laurel make us feel that our ideas were too ambitious, too complicated or out of reach. Quite the opposite: she always met our ideas with enthusiasm and then worked out how to make them happen. We communicated mostly through WhatsApp and regular video calls, which worked brilliantly. Laurel was always available when we needed her, incredibly responsive and reassuring, but never overbearing. She somehow managed to be completely on top of everything without bombarding us with messages or making us feel overwhelmed. Her calmness and patience throughout the entire process were invaluable. There were certainly challenges behind the scenes, including working with a venue where the person responsible for weddings was, at times, incredibly difficult and disorganised. Yet Laurel handled everything so professionally and calmly that, as far as we were concerned, none of that ever became our problem. On the actual wedding weekend, everything felt seamless. We didn't see the stress, the problems or the things that inevitably must have gone wrong behind the scenes — we just got to enjoy our wedding. And what a wedding it was. Laurel genuinely brought our vision to life. She should absolutely add festival planner to her CV because she didn't just create a beautiful festival-style wedding; she helped us create a real festival, across an entire weekend and somehow made it all feel effortless. What makes Laurel so special is that she genuinely cares. She wasn't simply ticking things off a checklist — she understood what the weekend meant to us and cared about getting the details right because she wanted it to be everything we'd imagined. By the end of the weekend, Laurel had gone from being our wedding planner to someone we now genuinely consider a friend. We will be forever grateful that we chose her and we honestly can't imagine having trusted anyone else with our wedding. If you're considering booking Laurel, do it. We hope she gets booked again and again because she deserves every bit of success coming her way. Our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without her.

When we found Laurel, we knew we wanted someone who has an interest in working with unique weddings and having looked at how she's done her own, we felt she could be the one! Although she's got her work cut out for her (our wedding was only 6 months away), she had somehow pieced together all our random ideas, venue requirements (to hold the ceremony, wedding breakfast and party at 3 different places!) and introduced us to Leyla who is the most fabulous stylist. Although there were stressful moments during the planning which we're sure all couples no doubt will experience, Laurel was a god send and always there to provide reassurance. I particularly struggle to communicate with suppliers as I find the process stressful, so when Laurel took over the comms it was a life saver for all the things that needed to be done and for my mental health of course! One week after the wedding we're still basking in the after glow and happiness of the big day and in utter disbelief how smooth everything had gone, where everything was exactly how we wanted and how it was planned! Had we tried to do this just on our own, or gone with a more conservative planner, we don't think the day could have been just as we wanted and one that suits our personality.
