They have to be respectful, adaptable and unobtrusive, while making you feel comfortable around them. On the day itself I like to work unobtrusively, quietly capturing the wedding as it unfolds. I will be your storyteller, documenting the drama and emotion as the days events move along. I also take direction from you regarding the more formal portraits that you may want. Spending some time with each couple and getting to know them is important as it can have a positive influence in the outcome of each shoot. The engagement or pre-wedding shoot is great way to develop a relationship with the photographer. It gives me an idea of how comfortable each couple are in front of the camera and it also allows you to see how I work, which is one less thing to worry about on your wedding day. I help each couple think through how the photography will fit into their day, the locations and the amount of time we’ll spend there.
