I take a photo-journalistic / documentary approach in photographing weddings. Your wedding day will be documented with very little intrusion. I am there to capture the hundreds of moments, both big and small, that make up such an important occasion. My aim is to capture all the emotion & action that happens throughout the day - from the laughter to the tears. From my work you will see that it’s not only about the bride and groom - mothers, fathers, families, best friends, kids - these are the people that are hugely important for me to capture too. The morning preparations are hugely important to capture in telling the story of a wedding day. I begin the day quite early as I spend a lot of time with both families - the bride’s side and the groom’s side. Documenting the wedding ceremony, it’s about capturing the big moments right down to the little glances between the happy couple - all the while keeping an eye out for your family and friend’s reactions. Family portraits and bridal party photographs are usually covered after the ceremony, and this is usually the only time that I get a bit more involved. The aim is to keep the time spent here to a minimum, so you can enjoy your day to the fullest. On arrival at the reception, it’s back to documenting the fun everyone is having. Coverage of the speeches and the the dance floor madness are some of the best parts of the day to capture before finishing up.
